Emil Johansson’s whole life revolves around bikes. Emil started to ride bikes at the age of 8 and in his own words, has not regretted a minute spent on this sport. In 2016, Emil’s first year on the FMB World Tour, and also his first year competing outside of Sweden, he managed to finish in the top five of the four biggest slopestyle competitions of the season and finished the year with a brilliant 7th place Overall in the FMB Diamond Series, the unofficial World Cup of Slopestyle Mountain Biking.

In 2017 the story continued with amazing results at all Crankworx events (2nd at Red Bull Joyride Whistler, 5th in Innsbruck, 2nd in Les Gets and 3rd in Rotorua) and an incredible win at FISE Montpellier. An outstanding 2nd place at Red Bull District Ride in Nuremberg brought him the 2017 FMB Diamond Series World Title! Besides this title, he also won the Overall Ranking of the Crankworx Slopestyle World Tour 2017!

After battling with injuries and an autoimmune illness for most of 2018 Emil made his outstanding comeback at the Red Bull Joyride 2018, where he got 4th while finishing his vocational training in CNC machining at the same time. With a phenomenal run during Crankworx Innsbruck 2019, Emil finished his first competition in 2019 with a 2nd place, followed by a successful year throughout the season with consistent riding all the way to Red Bull Joyride in 2019. The hard work and determination payed off in a big way for the young Swede, ending his day on top of the podium after a phenomenal performance.
